The Conversion of a 19th century barn into a 3 bedroom house, this development was completed for a private client to live in.
Existing foundations were underpinned; original stone walls repaired and rebuilt in traditional lime render. The original oak frame was repaired and replaced; the roof stripped, repaired and then re tiled in hand made clay tiles. The works also comprised building a new stable block and garage, as well as extensive external works.
Finishes were high specification and fittings included bespoke windows, doors, kitchen and staircase.
The sympathy shown to the original barn and its environment were fundamental to the success of Trottsford Farm Cottage, the completed barn more than lives up to its beautiful surroundings.
