Ashley School
The construction of a new 3-storey block containing 6 classrooms, group rooms, toilets and staff accommodation. As well as a new extension to the school hall and a new classroom added onto an existing block.
The works included the demolition of an old classroom block and the installation of temporary classrooms in the playground, this allowed the erection of the new 3-storey brick/block building with pre-cast concrete floor and stairs, and timber roof. The new building was provided with underfloor heating, lift, passive ventilation, pupil, staff & disabled toilets and access to the existing school. The school hall was extended with new folding sliding doors to improve versatility and a new single storey classroom on the end of a block. External works included new drains, gas & water mains, re-arranging the security fence and extending the staff car park.
